The IPS Conference 2014 Prize
The 2014 IPS Prize for a Young Theoretical Researcher is awarded to Dr. Daniel Podolsky (Thechnion)For his important contributions in condensed matter theory, in particular the prediction of the visibility of the amplitude (Higgs) mode in the response function of two-dimentional interacting bosonic systems' which was later detacted in experiments.
The 2014 IPS Prize for a Young Experimental Researcher is awarded to Dr. Eran Ofek (Weiz) FOR HIS IMPORTANT OBSRVATIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE STUDY OF SUPERNOVAE.iN PARTICULAR THE DISCOVERY OF SHOCK BREAKOUTS FROM DENSE CIRCUMSTELLAR WINDS AND EARLY EJECTA FROM MASSIVE STARS.
The 2014 IPS Prize for a Graduate Student in Theoretical Physics IS AWARDED TO Yotam Soreq (Weiz) For his work in the field of elementary particles.Yotam achivements are outstanding for a Ph.D student and place him in the first row of researchers as a most promising young scientist with an anticipated great future. The 2014 IPS Prize for a Graduate Student in Experimental Physics us awarded to Liron Barak (weiz) For her work in the field of high energy physics. Liron has made a significant international name for herself including imortant roles in ATLAS and LHC and a prestigious CERN fellowship. |
