We discuss here an interpretation of special relativity that relates directly to space-time coordinates effects which have a specific physical meaning. The main result of our interpretation is that absolute time and absolute simultaneity of events in different inertial frames is fully compatible with special relativity in contradiction to claims made in the standard interpretation of special relativity theory.

The neutrino test, held at CERN for the last three years, provides for the first time an experimental verification of this new approach to special relativity. On the other hand, this new approach to SR provides a simple explanation to the results of that experiment, which is compatible with the basic assumption of SR that the speed of light is the limit velocity in nature.
