Plasma is a promising media that can be sculpted using light manipulation techniques to create novel, robust, optical elements on nanosecond timescales. Within this broad area of inquiry, we focus on generating and controlling Bragg reflectors by manipulating large amplitude nonlinear ion acoustic waves. Such structures may be stationary or moving. We present a novel scheme to excite such high amplitude ion acoustic wave by the general method of autoresonance
