Signals from the Cosmic Dawn

Apart from the CMB and a handful of high-redshift galaxies, the first billion years after the Big Bang remain largely unobserved making it difficult to reconstruct cosmic history. Detection of any signals from this epoch will revolutionize our understanding of the path which the Universe took evolving from the initial conditions captured by the CMB to its present state. In my talk I will discuss several ways to probe the Cosmic Dawn including the 21-cm signal of neutral hydrogen and high-redshift transients.
