We propose to use charm tagging in order to extract information about new physics. As an example, we imagine that squarks are discovered at the LHC, but the gluino is too heavy to be directly produced. Since the gluino contributes to squark pair production through t-channel exchange, the fraction of charm quarks in squark-pair production events can be used to probe the gluino mass.
