Trigger Level Analysis and Search for New Physics at the LHC

LHC is expected to double its energy in a few months' time, raising also the expectations to find New Physics. One of the most sensitive ways to search for physics beyond the standard model is to look for resonances at the the distributions of two jets invariant mass.

We are working on novel techniques which will allow us to analyse the two-jets mass distribution already at the trigger level in order  to increase the sensitivity for the search in low masses, and study events that normally would not pass the standard ATALS trigger criteria.

Stay tuned.
