Work after Energy

Energy is an important idea in all branches of science, whose understanding is recognized as a major learning objective of science teaching. In various countries the energy concept is taught in junior high school based on the conservation principle in all its generality. Despite that, in the study of physics in many high school textbooks, energy is defined as the capacity for doing work, creating an unnecessary break between the physics curriculum in senior high school and the science curriculum in junior high school. To avoid this break, an approach in which work is taught after energy will be presented.
