Daybreak at the LHC: what we learned from the 13 TeV data so far

While the Large Hadron Collider at CERN is providing record luminosities at 13 TeV proton–proton collision energy, the general purpose ATLAS and CMS experiments have released their principal results on a large fraction of their data taken during 2015 and 2016. The talk introduces and reviews a selection of these results, and discusses the priorities for the years to come.
