This research report concerns new effects of optical wavelength scale micro-dynamics in a common coasting drifting beam of charged particles. It is asserted, that a collective Coulomb interaction process leads to effects of self ordering and current shot-noise suppression within a drift length of quarter plasma oscillation. This control option over the current shot-noise in relativistic beams can be utilized to suppress spontaneous radiative emission from free electron radiators, and to enhance the coherence of free electron lasers.
