Hololgraphic Magnetic Catalysis from Bottom-Up

We present a generic mechanism for generation of magnetic catalysis in
holographic models in AdS_4 with gauge field, fermions and a gapless hard
wall.
We will elaborate on the relation between magnetic catalysis in the bulk
and magnetic catalysis in the boundary.
Finally we present a related  model for quantum electron star dual to the
lowest landau level.
