How basic research and technology are coming together as the second quantum revolution

After almost 100 years of quantum mechanics, our ability to use quantum rules for real-life applications is growing immensely. This is called the second quantum revolution. I will briefly discuss some of the applications, and show how basic research in our lab and technology are now progressing hand in hand.

I will briefly touch upon acceleration sensing, magnetic sensing and clocks.
