In this talk I will present our search for the permutation symmetries of the color structures of Yang-Mills scattering amplitudes and the associated partial amplitudes. We will understand what the dimension of the space of color structures is, present the relations among them and finally present the answer. Some new mathematical concepts will be introduced, including a surprisingly simple proof for certain relations.
