At the LHC, the large background of QCD jets often overwhelms possible new physics signals. It is therefore a major challenge to gain control over this background. Promising new techniques, that are based on observing the detailed jet substructure, may help. I will describe the use of collinear factorization for computing jet substructure distributions of highly-energetic 3-body jets.
