The aim of the Materials Physics session is to bring together researchers from various disciplines and backgrounds, who are interested in physics of materials. In our session, we hope to enhance the dialogue between the experimental, the theoretical and the computational materials communities. We also encourage participation from both academia, industry and governmental institutions. The Materials Physics session at the IPS is an excellent opportunity for young researchers to present their recent achievements.
This year the oral Materials Physics sessions focus on 2 themes:
1) Energy materials: structure, function and applications
2) Materials at the nanoscale: between a solid and a molecule
